Our Newest Divers
Jan 03 08
Happy 2008! As we mentioned in our last post, we started the new year off taking out many certified divers and students. Now we want to congratulate our first PADI Open Water certified students of the year:

Jose Perez and Pablo Perez were certified by our instructor Alex and Wesley Trimble, Mikhail and Sarah Rakovshik by Juan. Well done everyone!

Sand versus Snow
Dec 30 07
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Which way to go?
Do you prefer sand,
or do you prefer snow?

For those of you who prefer the powder white sand, gently caressed by the Caribbean Sea just outside our front door, we wish you were here. The dive shop is filled to capacity with excited divers and many familiar faces. Lot's of new faces too who promise to return now that they have found their new "home away from home". We have lot's of training dives going on daily and experienced divers regularly discovering the unique cenote diving. Diving is excellent with calm seas and water temps of 79F/26C. What a way to close out the old year and ring in the new!

Now is the time to look at your calendars and plan a winter getaway. Just imagine how great you'll look and feel sitting at your desk in the dead of winter with a healthy tan you got in Mexico! Pass the day watching rays cruise like giant magic carpets over the reef versus staring at your computer monitor. Think fresh, seafood tacos washed down with salty margaritas at the pool bar versus the breakroom vending machine's stale snacks and diet soda. Listen to the vibrant sounds of the strolling Mariachis instead of elevator music. OKAY!...You're almost there! Drop us a line and let us know what you have in mind and we'll be happy to help you plan the details.

Hope to see you soon!
Karen

New Website goes live!
Dec 12 07

Breakout the champagne! The new website is live!

We've been working nonstop since Spring to develop a new site that will be both informative and fun to visit. Some of the new features include streaming video, accommodation options, a list of hotels within our transfer service, and excursion information. This new Scuba Blog will replace the Dive Report and will keep our readers informed and entertained with the events in and around the dive shop. A new photo gallery with monthly updates will feature shots from our local reefs, cenotes, and topside images. Be sure to take a look at the "Dive Courses" page for details on learning to dive or advancing your training level. Our 2008 Vacation Planner and price list are available for downloads as PDF files and will help you plan the perfect vacation. Forget to get a t-shirt while you were in the shop? The On-line store will allow you to purchase your favorite Dive Aventuras logo items and DVDs once you are back home. After your vacation, use the "Diver Comments" page to post a review of your Dive Aventuras experience.

We are truly excited about this new look but the real test of it's success will be you. Take a few minutes to explore the new site and let us know what you think. Although we expect there to be a few bumps along the way and kinks to workout, our plan is to keep this site active with frequent updates so check in often!
